William Carey University Add-On Scholarship Application

All Add-On Scholarships require a student maintain full-time enrollment while seeking their first undergraduate bachelor's degree.

Add-On Scholarships require at least one of the following entry scores:

ACT Score: 20 or higher
SAT Score: 1030 or higher
CLT Score: 66 or higher
Transfer GPA: 2.5 or higher

Please provide proper documentation for each scholarship for which you are applying.

Coverage: $400 per year to children, grandchildren, siblings, and spouses of WCU alumni.

Please provide a letter from your parent, grandparent, sibling, or spouse who graduated from William Carey University. In order for this letter to be deemed eligible, the letter must state the following legibly:

1. The name of the alum (as it was listed at their graduation)
2. The degree conferred at William Carey University
3. The year in which the alum graduated
4. The alum's relationship to the applicant
5. the alum's signature confirming authenticity

6. Baptist Student Scholarship

Coverage: $400 per year for students who are recommended by a pastor of a Southern Baptist Church.

Please provide a letter from the pastor of the Southern Baptist Church in which you attend. In order for this letter to be deemed eligible, the letter must state the following legibly:

1. The name of the Pastor
2. The name of the applicant
3. The name of the Southern Baptist Church
4. Confirmation that the applicant is a member of the Southern Baptist Church
5. The Pastor's opinion on the applicant's moral character
6. The Pastor's signature confirming authenticity

7. CRV Dependent Scholarship

Coverage: $600 per year for dependents and spouses of pastors and other full-time ministerial employees of Southern Baptist churches, associations, or agencies.

Please provide a letter from your parent or spouse who is currently working for a Southern Baptist church, association, or agency in a ministerial capacity. In order for this letter to be deemed eligible, the letter must state the following legibly:

1. The letter must be provided on official letterhead of the church, association, or agency
2. The name of the parent or spouse
3. The relation of the parent or spouse to the applicant
4. The position being served by the parent or spouse
5. Contact information for the church, association, or agency
6. The parent or spouse's signature confirming authenticity

8. Dual Credit Scholarship

Coverage: $1,000 for the first term of enrollment for students who have participated in William Carey's Dual Credit program or Step Ahead program while in high school (not applicable for transfer students).

Please provide a copy of your most recent schedule or college transcript while attending Dual Credit courses from William Carey University while in high school.

9. PTK Add-On Scholarship

Coverage: For students who served in officer positions during their time in Phi Theta Kappa.

President: $1,000 per year
Vice President: $800 per year
Officer: $500 per year

Please attach proof of being an officer within Phi Theta Kappa. This proof may be in one of the following formats:

1. A copy of an email from a full-time employee of your previous institution (Must be work email. Personal email addresses will not be assessed) confirming the following:
- Your Name
- Your position within PTK
2. An official PTK Certificate/Card that states both your name and position within PTK.
3. A letter on official letterhead from a full-time employee of your previous institution confirming the following (This letter must be signed by the full-time employee):
- Your Name
- Your position within PTK

10. Scout Leadership Scholarship

Coverage: $2,100 per year for students who can show proof of earning the rank of Eagle Scout or of earning the Girl Scout Gold Award.

Please attach proof of either the rank of Eagle Scout or proof of receiving the Gold Award. This could be in one of the following formats:
1. A copy of an email from an official scout employee from their official email (personal email addresses will not be assessed)
2. An official certificate that states the name of the applicant and the rank/award achieved
3. A letter on official scout letterhead stating the name of the applicant and the rank/award achieved (The scout employee's printed name and signature must be provided)
